Terms of Service

Hayes Hip & Elbow Scoring provides paid, professional scoring of canine hip and elbow radiographs for breeders, owners & clinics. This is a scoring opinion service - it isn't a veterinary diagnosis or treatment, and it doesn't replace advice from your vet.

To submit, you'll complete an online form and upload a signed copy of the official CHED submission form together with your dog's DICOM radiographs - both are required for every dog. Owners and clinics can both submit; clinics can submit multiple dogs in one go, with individual dog and owner details for each. If a dog isn't registered with Dogs Australia, a supporting document confirming its details is also required. The submission form is only available on desktop and tablet devices. Submissions are reviewed and scored by a qualified scorer.

Individual owners pay at the time of submission, processed securely through Stripe. Clinics can choose to pay upfront, be invoiced, or be billed monthly instead. Current pricing is listed on our scoring fees page and includes the applicable Dogs Australia levy and a payment processing fee.

Scores reflect a professional opinion based on the imaging you submit. Turnaround is typically 3-10 business days from receipt of complete radiographs and payment, but this is an estimate, not a guarantee, and the quality and positioning of your radiographs can affect our ability to score them.

You're responsible for providing accurate owner and dog information, and for confirming that submitted radiographs meet our technical requirements. By submitting, you confirm you have the right to do so on behalf of the dog's owner. If a submission is left incomplete, or completed but never paid for, its uploaded files may be automatically deleted after 7 days of inactivity, and would need to be re-uploaded to continue.

If you believe a score is incorrect, you can lodge a formal appeal. The appeals process itself is handled entirely by Dogs Australia (ANKC) - we have no involvement in it. Pricing and links to Dogs Australia's official appeal information are on our Appeals Process page.

Scoring opinions are provided in good faith and to the best professional judgement available, but we can't guarantee any particular outcome. These terms may be updated from time to time - continuing to use the service means you accept the current version.
